Lilya Valiullina. Mosaic artist

Heritage and inspiration

My work continues the traditions of my grandfather, a master woodworker who, throughout his life, built accordions and bayans by hand, crafting every part himself. My main themes are glass carpets and archetypes that reflect the deep emotional states of the human soul.

For me, mosaic is a form of glass painting — a visual language expressed through glass.

I don’t strictly follow the rules of traditional mosaic art; instead, I’ve developed my own signature technique that allows me to go beyond the boundaries of the craft and create true magic.

About me

Why choose my mosaics

Each mosaic I create is an original composition. I design every storyline myself, never copying ancient mosaics or the works of other artists — so you can be certain your piece will be truly one of a kind.

Original concepts

I always set fair, transparent prices — ensuring the best balance between quality and cost.

Fair price

My artworks come fully equipped with strong metal mounts and hanging hardware, ready for display right out of the box.

Ready to hang

I use only high-quality, durable materials. For instance, I never work with cheap, thin glass tiles often used in mass production — only premium-grade glass.

Premium materials

I can design mosaics of any size — even several meters long.

Any scale

I can create a mosaic based on any photo — from a personal portrait to an iconic image you love.

Custom photo mosaics

Every piece is one of a kind. Author’s replicas of sold works are possible upon request.

Unique artworks

Each of my mosaics is 100% handcrafted. I personally handle every stage — from sketch preparation and glass selection to cutting each piece by hand with pliers (I don’t use machines or assistants) and assembling the final work.

Entirely handmade

My works have been featured in both Russian and international exhibitions
